“It is logical for the table in the centre of the living room to have a top of glass, and another lower top for large magazines and books. But why should the supporting structure have to be so coldly modern, in perspex or stainless steel, or artificial and genuine bamboo? We have called it Burguesa (Bourgeois) because we felt that it might be pleasing to that social class, as indeed it has been”.
